Dr Barbara Dowds

Barbara Dowds is a humanistic and integrative psychotherapist and supervisor in Greystones, Ireland. She taught on therapy trainings for more than a decade and currently offers CPD workshops. She is author of Beyond the Frustrated Self (Karnac, 2014); Depression and the Erosion of the Self in Late Modernity (Routledge, 2018) and, most recently, Depression: An Introduction (Phoenix, 2021). Barbara was a university senior lecturer in molecular genetics until 2002.
