Dr Robert Cutler
Bob is a Group Analyst and Member of the Institute of Group Analysis. He facilitates long term Professional Development Groups for Counsellors and Psychotherapists. These Groups pay attention to the interplay between responses to therapeutic work (with all its difficulties and rewards), and to its organisational context with the challenge or containment that might hold. The Groups also consider the personal resonances evoked as we attempt to swim in these powerful currents and the members find that respecting all of these areas provides important containment and support as well as insight. Bob has worked as a Group Psychotherapist in the NHS and with Refugee Survivors of Trauma. He teaches seminars in Group Analytic theory for students in training at Group Analysis South West in Bristol, and has recently conducted seminars in group facilitation at the Institute of Psychosexual Medicine. He was previously a GP with a particular interest in the interplay of the Psyche and the Soma.
