Christa Mackinnon
Christa Mackinnon is a social psychologist, family counsellor, clinical hypnotherapist, shamanic teacher and author with over 25 years of professional experience as a therapist and international trainer and lecturer. She is the Founder and Director of Kamdaris Psychological Consultancy and holds an Honorary Fellowship at the University of Exeter, Medical School, where she teaches special study units on trauma as well as clinical hypnosis. Christa apprenticed to shamans in South America and has trained with spiritual and shamanic teachers in Asia, the USA and the UK, which led her to design and run training courses for therapeutic professionals combining western approaches with indigenous spiritual teachings. She is the author of the groundbreaking book Shamanism and Spirituality in Therapeutic Practice (Jessica Kingsley, 2012) and Shamanism: Awaken and Develop the Shamanic Force Within (Hay House, 2016).
