Stanley Ruszczynski

Stanley Ruszczynski is a psychoanalyst and a couple psychoanalytic psychotherapist. He is a Consultant Adult Psychotherapist at the Portman Clinic (where he was Clinic Director 2005-2016), part of the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, which offers psychotherapeutic treatment to patients disturbed by their criminality, violence or damaging sexual behaviours.

He was Deputy Director of Tavistock Relationships between 1987 and 1993. He is the author of a number of papers and book chapters, and the contributing editor and co-editor of Psychotherapy with Couples (Karnac, 1993), with James Fisher, Intrusiveness and Intimacy in the Couple (Karnac, 1995) and with David Morgan Lectures on Violence, Perversion and Delinquency (Karnac, 2007). In addition to his clinical work, he has a particular interest in offering organisational consultancy and teaching in the UK and abroad.
