Lisa Forrell
Lisa Forrell is a theatre director of approximately 26 plays in England and abroad. Lisa has written plays, musicals, adaptations, as well as the Euro Media award-winning screenplay, ‘The Journey Home’. Her screenplay will be produced in 2021/2 in Iceland and the UK. She is working with Parkville Pictures on her project ‘David’ – a three-part TV series, based on her next book. She will next direct for the theatre Sartre’s ‘The Respectable Prostitute’ next February 2022.
Lisa studied as a young actor with Stella Adler and Uta Hagen in New York, and trained as a director at the Berliner Ensemble in East Berlin. Later, she read law at Manchester University becoming an English barrister specialising in international law. After 12 years of law practice, she returned to the theatre and writing. Lisa is fluent in French and German and also works as a part-time translator.
