Dr Thaddeus Birchard

US born Dr Thaddeus Birchard was an Anglican Priest who worked for many years in parishes in Plymouth, South End and London. Afterwards he retrained in Psychology, earning a PhD in The Psychotherapeutic Treatment of Sexual Addiction, in which he had specialised.

He ran a weekly treatment programme for men with compulsive sexual behaviour from the Marylebone Centre in London. He also works with individual clients and sometimes couples. The centre takes self referrals and outcome studies have confirmed the effectiveness of the treatment.

He published three books on sexual addiction, all published by Routledge and endorses the Therapeutic Training for Sexual and Porn Addiction run by the Laurel Centre.

Thaddeus sadly died on the 21st June 2022, at the age of 76.
