Karen Carberry
Karen Carberry is a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist; Consultant Family Therapist of Orri – Specialist Day Treatment for Eating Disorders, and AFT Accredited Clinical Supervisor for Hope Bereavement Support, who provides counselling, support groups, and awareness regarding the impact of bereavement within Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities grieving process. As a former walk leader for “Walks for Health” taking mental health treatment outside of the therapy room, and incorporating unique methods in clinical practice is central to her concept of ‘isomorphic mattering’ in which the inherent value of individuals and transgenerational communities through corporate learning is key to social wellbeing.
Karen is a columnist for BACP Workplace, international trainer and lecturer, and is also co-editor of The International Handbook for Black Community Mental Health published by Emerald Publishing Limited.
