Bernadka Dubicka
Dr Dubicka qualified in medicine and psychology at University College London, completing child psychiatry training in Manchester, together with a doctorate (MD) in adolescent depression at the University of Manchester, where she is an honorary reader. She is a consultant and research lead in Pennine Care Foundation Trust, Greater Manchester. In 2017 she was elected chair of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych) Child and Adolescent faculty and is the editor in chief of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health journal. She has previously been a member of a National Institute of Health Research funding panel, publishes regularly, and is a regular speaker in the media and at national and international conferences. She has a research interest in mood disorders, and has been involved with several large depression treatment trials. Dr Dubicka led on the RCPsych position statement on technology and the mental health of children and young people (2020).
