Dr Vincent Felitti
Dr Vincent J. Felitti is a 1962 medical graduate of Johns Hopkins, an internist with a background in infectious disease. Founding the Department of Preventive Medicine for Kaiser Permanente in San Diego, California in 1975, he served as Chief of Preventive Medicine until 2001, that Department providing 1.3 million individual, comprehensive, biopsychosocial medical evaluations to adult members of Kaiser Permanente over a 30-year period. During that career, he developed major health-risk abatement programs for obesity, smoking cessation, the genetic disease Hemochromatosis, and somatization disorders. Dr. Felitti is Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, co-Principal Investigator of the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study, and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
