Dr David Hewison

Dr David Hewison is a Consultant Couple Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and Head of Research at Tavistock Relationships. His post-qualifying Doctorate explored changes in conceptual and theoretical influences on Couple Psychotherapy at Tavistock Relationships. A former Mental Health Social Worker and Trainer, he has been involved in most of the professional training programmes at TR over the 25 years+ that he has worked there. He led on the development of the Couple Therapy for Depression training programme and is the lead author of ‘Couple Therapy for Depression: A Clinicians’ Guide to Integrative Practice’. He was a member of the NICE Depression Guideline Development Committee between 2015-2020. He publishes and teaches internationally.
