Noemi Lakmaier
I am an existential-phenomenological psychotherapist. Having trained at Regent’s University London worked at Metro Centre in their targeted LGBTQ+ counselling service, at the Terrence Higgins Trust and at Better Lives (formally CASA) Drug and Alcohol Service. I now see clients in private practice. I primarily work with Gender Sex and Relationship diverse clients, but I am comfortable working with the broad range of challenges that we can all experience as human beings and that people may want to bring to therapy. Identifying as a disabled, queer person an immigrant to the UK and a trauma survivor I have a particular interest in the minority experience, gender, sexuality, disability, identity, intersectionality and trauma. I am an LGBTQ+ affirmative, as well as kink- and poly aware therapist. I use she/her and they/them pronouns interchangeably.
I have also worked as a live and performance artist for almost twenty years, a practice I continue alongside my therapy practice and I increasingly find that my art and my therapy work influence each other in rich and intriguing ways.
