Jane Catherine Severn

Jane Catherine Severn is a Psychotherapist, Menstruality Educator and Writer in Aotearoa (New Zealand).  She has spent over 40 years immersed in her life’s work of discerning a major intuitive and phenomenological body of knowledge not commonly addressed by psychotherapy, the innate psycho-spiritual design and purpose of women’s “4M” hormonal sequence: menarche, menstrual cycle years, menopause, and mature life.  In 2003 she created Luna House (www.lunahouse.co.nz), an educational and therapeutic service through which she offers workshops, courses and seminars to women at each stage of feminine life.  Her article Menstruality: the Great Feminine Gestalt (Gestalt Journal of Australia and New Zealand, Vol 1, No2, May 2005) presented an early prototype of her work to the Psychotherapy world, and she now offers its more fully developed version in professional development training as a specialist modality called Femenome Therapy.  Her first book, The World Within Women: the femenome guide to your menstrual cycle, (www.lunahouse.co.nz/shop) was published in 2021, and her next, The Alchemy of Menopause, is on its way.
