Dr Nicholas Straiton
Nicholas qualified in Medicine from Charing Cross Hospital in 1979 and underwent surgical training. He subsequently qualified in Osteopathic Medicine in 1989 and has been involved in Musculoskeletal Medicine ever since then. He is currently the Clinical Lead in Musculoskeletal Medicine at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine where they are developing a Mind/ Body strategy for patients suffering with chronic pain. This incorporates both complementary physical methods of treatment (osteopathy, acupuncture etc ) and educational, psychological and exercise based programmes. He is a clinician but also teaches Tai Chi Shibashi and run courses in Autogenic Training at the hospital for patients with chronic illness.
