Adam Phillips
Dr Kate Anthony is a psychotherapist and co-founder of the Online Therapy Institute. Over the past 25 years she has trained several thousands of clinicians and coaches worldwide in using digital tools in their services.

Unlocked tells the stories of ten different people in therapy in various cultural and geographical contexts – from Saudi Arabia to Venice or New York.

All therapeutic work described in this book happens online and each narrative explores a unique presenting situation and uncovers the complexities of the therapeutic experience.

Piatakhina Giré reveals how on-screen therapeutic conversations have a surprising close-up quality; these stories convey the renewed intimacy and intensity of such practice and present new possibilities for successful therapy. Unlocked will be of interest not only to therapists who are transitioning their practice online but also to those considering therapy or simply curious about how therapy works.

“Unlocked is an exquisitely compassionate and riveting window into our hearts and minds that will leave you thinking about these patients, yourself, and the lives of those you love long after you read the last word. The beauty of our messy humanity and the hope for redemption shine through on every page.” – Lori Gottlieb, New York Times bestselling author of Maybe You Should Talk To Someone: A Therapist, Her Therapist, and Our Lives Revealed.
